Nestled on the wooded shore of Arbutus Lake, near Traverse City, Michigan, our independent publishing house began publishing books about Michigan history, travel, architecture, mysteries, memoirs and books for kids since 1998. Since that first book, we have been honored with awards for quality book publication.
In 2002, Historic Cottages of Mackinac Island by Susan Stites, won the Michigan Notable Book Award.
In 2009, Asylum for the Insane: History of Kalamazoo State Hospital by William Decker, M.D. won the Notable Book Award from the Michigan Library.
In 2011, Vintage Views Along the West Michigan Pike: From Sandtrails to US-31 by Christine Byron and Thomas Wilson, won the Michigan Notable Book Award
