Through storytelling and spectacular photography, Jaye and Dianne spotlight Michigan’s culinary landscape from the Straits of Mackinac to Lake Michigan’s fruit belt and urban farms in Detroit. Buckle up with author Jaye Beeler and photographer Dianne Carroll Burdick as they travel the state, witnessing Michigan’s flavor frontier. For more than one year, they documented the agricultural landscape, including 8,000 photographs, 150 plus field assignments, 2,000 miles of travel, and hours and hours of writing, editing and processing. The book entertains, enlightens and educates about Michigan’s dazzling local produce and foods with photography and recipes showcasing fields, orchards, waterways, dairy barns, kitchens, markets and urban farms. Come hear about the treasures that Beeler and Burdick discovered along the way!
